What is cheese on toast all about?

CoT is all about food - finding it, cooking it, eating it, sharing it...

Why cheese on toast? A freaky thing happened on Saturday - my mother made cheese on toast for my children - in exactly the same way that her mother used to make it for me. The Morgan way with cheese on toast is:

1. Butter the Toast;
2. Cut slabs of cheese 5mm thick;
3. when its done, cut the CoT into squares about 1.5cm square.

The only thing missing was a small blob of tomato sauce on each square.
